The Consortium
The Consortium was made up from the 2 networks - the County Liaison Group and the City Community Network, which met regularly for some time in the County and City. In 2004 it was agreed that we would establish an inclusive membership of the consortium in terms of geographic generic infrastructure coverage together with representation from specialist infrastructure groups: for example, accounting, self help, learning & skills, families & children and youth voluntary organisations, health & environment are areas with recognised and active infrastructure arrangements. The Consortium has a Co-ordinating Group of 9 people - 6 people drawn from the two networks above (3 from each) one from each of the joint Lead Bodies (NAVO and NCVS) and 1 from the Accountable Body/fundholder – Nottinghamshire Community Foundation. Details of the Co-ordinating Group membership are below. City: Self Help Nottingham (Barbara-Ann Walker) Nottinghamshire Black Partnership (Abdullah Uhuru) Southwell Diocese [link to faith groups] (Patricia Stoat) County: Newark & Sherwood CVS or Bassetlaw CVS [alternates] (/Michael Newstead) Beeston Volunteer Centre or Sutton-in-Ashfield Volunteer Bureau [alternates] (Hilary Wells/Margaret Allsop) Nottinghamshire Rural Community Council () Overarching bodies: Co-Leads: Nottingham CVS (Jane Sterck) and NAVO (Jon North) Accountable body: Nottinghamshire Community Foundation (Rowena Morrell) The consortium established thematic working groups to undertake specific work on specialist areas such as rural issues, Black & Miinority Ethnic infrastructure, volunteering and ICT. It also esatblished specialist mapping and exemplar projects covering issues such as disability, human resources and occupational health. The Co-ordinating Group co-ordinates and collates the work of the working groups and deliver cross-thematic work, establishing further task groups as needed and providing regular reports to the Consortium.
